Located off the Foothills Highway four miles south of Boulder, CO, this legendary spot touted itself as distinguished dining in a wonderland atmosphere. A great date place back in the day, visitors enjoyed excellent food and incredible vibes around a large Matterhorn replica. It was also an ideal spot for CU Buffs looking for a change of pace from the college bars. It didn’t hurt that they were famously loose on checking ID's. Oh yeah, and did we mention that The Matterhorn famously burned down, not once, but twice?
